ChatGPT adds a dedicated page for scheduled tasks and reminders
OpenAI rolled out a new Scheduled page in ChatGPT for managing reminders, recurring work, and monitoring tasks, alongside a batch of smaller usability upgrades.
ChatGPT has been able to run tasks on a schedule for a while, but the feature was easy to lose track of. On June 17, 2026, OpenAI gave it a proper home: a dedicated Scheduled page inside ChatGPT where you can see, edit, and manage every reminder, recurring job, and monitoring task in one place.
What the Scheduled page does
Before this update, scheduled tasks lived in a somewhat buried settings area, and many users set one up, forgot about it, and never touched the feature again. The new page changes that. You can now review everything ChatGPT is doing for you on a timer: a morning news summary tailored to your industry, a weekly reminder to chase unpaid invoices, or a recurring check on a topic you care about.
Because it is a first-class page rather than a settings toggle, it is also easier to tweak schedules, pause tasks during a holiday week, or delete the ones that stopped being useful.
The supporting cast
A day later, on June 18, OpenAI shipped a bundle of smaller improvements that round out the experience. Pronunciation help now works in more than 60 languages, useful if you deal with international suppliers or customers. Chat pinning got better, so the conversations you return to daily stay at the top. iOS photo uploads are faster, and there are new app permission controls that give you a clearer view of what connected apps can access.
None of these is dramatic on its own, but together they signal where ChatGPT is heading: less of a chat window, more of a daily work surface.
How to put it to work
A practical starting set for a small operation: one daily task (a short brief on your industry or local market), one weekly task (a summary of anything new from your key competitors), and one monthly task (a prompt that asks you review questions about your goals). The Scheduled page makes it easy to see whether those are actually earning their keep.
Why it matters for small business
The gap between "AI as a novelty" and "AI as a tool" usually comes down to whether it does anything when you are not sitting in front of it. Scheduled tasks are the simplest form of that. You do not need to learn an automation platform or write a workflow; you just tell ChatGPT what you want and when. For an owner-operator juggling a dozen roles, three well-chosen scheduled tasks can quietly replace an hour of weekly busywork, and the new page finally makes them easy to manage instead of easy to forget.
